Menu Tasting & Music Video Shoot

As the chefs of Nextbite worked to optimize our delivery-only brand with Wiz Khalifa, I focused on organizing and executing the logistics of our in person tasting with Wiz in March 2022. The purpose of the menu tasting was to get his approval on the menu so we can move forward with rolling out the optimizations.

After the menu tasting, we received a request from Wiz’s creative team that he wanted to feature Packed Bowls in his music video ‘Iced Out Necklace.’ With no details provided by the production team in advance, I was responsible to find creative solutions for food storage and preparations since the shoot location did not have running water, refrigeration, freezer storage, kitchen equipment, or the right amount of electrical power to execute. Not only did we last minute source table top deep fryers and induction stoves, but also we created makeshift refrigeration with reusable plastic bin and over 50 lbs of ice. The conditions were less than ideal, but we worked with the resources and time available and successfully staged food for the music video.
